2050

I was invited by Contemporary Art Museum Quinta da Cruz in Viseu to create an original exhibition under the theme Gastronomia e o Resto (Gastronomy and the Rest). It was part of a series of four exhibitions held by the museum on this subject.

Titled "2050," my solo show revolved around the theme of future food. The title was inspired by various news articles and scientific reports on climate change, assuming that — if our behavior doesn’t change — by 2050, we will be living under extreme conditions.
The exhibition aimed to provoke questions such as: What will we eat in 2050? What will our food be made of? How will it be distributed, and who will have access to it?
The illustrations presented in the exhibition serve as a satire about our potential future and the trajectory we are currently on, while also serving as a warning call.
