This humorous newspaper A Nova Paródia follows the last periodical founded by the artist Rafael Bordalo Pinheiro, A Paródia (1900–1907). The new publication preserves the original aesthetic and features texts and illustrations inspired by Bordalo's work. This issue theme was Cabbages.
I have always been impressed by Galician collard greens, which keep growing skyward while we continually remove their leaves to be eaten.
I thought that A Nova Paródia No. 2 was the perfect place to pay tribute to this remarkable feat.
