CABRIL
A woman working on a loom. A linen plant that transforms into yarn. Yarn that becomes textile, and textile that decomposes into soil, nurturing the growth of flowers once again.
In Gerês, there was a tradition of burying our ancestors with the finest linen fabrics. This wall in Cabril, Xertelo, symbolizes this natural cycle and pays homage to the traditional loom.
This project is part of a collective intervention at 8 bus stops in Cabril. The team comprised Carolina M. Correia, Luísa J. Crisóstomo, Mantraste, Maria Taborda, Miguel Brum, Pedro Lourenço, and Susana Antão.
